You can lose a customer in a heartbeat if they don’t feel valued, with many rating customer service as the most important factor of their relationship with a business. But how can you ensure you always provide the highest level of customer service? Here are some things I always ensure I do:
- Respond to emails in a timely fashion
- Answer the questions being asked
- Complete the task within the agreed time frame
- Keep clients updated
- Be polite and friendly
- If you don’t know the answer, be honest
- Do your research
- If a client isn’t happy, listen to find out why and try and rectify it
- Be consistent
- Show empathy
- Listen to your client
