How is it 2022 already?!
Where did 2021 go? I daresay it but where did the last two years go!
The new year gives us a perfect opportunity to review our business and see what worked in the previous year and what didn’t.
Think carefully about what you want from your business this year and how you will get there.
What can you outsource to make your business run smoothly?
Here is a previous blog that I wrote about the benefits of outsourcing: https://ghvirtualassistant.co.uk/2021/10/05/what-can-you-outsource-in-your-business/.
Can you reduce your business costs?
Did you do things in business that you didn’t enjoy and no longer want to do?
Do you want to do more of something that you touched upon in previous years?
Is the passion that you started with for your business still there. If not, what can you change?
From reviewing my business over the last year I have learnt and grown a lot.
The key things that I have learnt, include:
⭐Perseverance pays off
⭐ Planning and accounting for the school holidays helped me tremendously over the holidays.
⭐ Remembering that it is my business and that I can say no- (it can be easy to forget this)
⭐ Social media is a great free marketing tool but you need to be consistent ( whilst, also not feeling overwhelmed by it)
⭐ Remembering that you will not always be the perfect match for potential clients/ clients. This was a hard one for me to realise.
⭐ Remembering that you will not always be the perfect match for potential clients/ clients. This was a hard one for me to realise.
⭐ Reviewing what I enjoy doing in business is important
⭐ Be grateful for how far I have come
Who knows what 2022 will bring for my business but I am excited! I ended 2021 on a high and won Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday initiative! I had been trying for months and am so happy to be part of his #SBS community… I also get to meet him next month!!
I went into 2021 with 2 clients and I am pleased to say that I am still supporting those same clients as well as several other clients.
Over the year, I changed some of the services that I offered and added some too. This enabled me to grow my business and be at a place that I want it to be.
When was the last time that you reviewed your business?
Let’s hope 2022 is a good year all around for everyone!
